Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of market values, rail freight, car costs, truck freight rates, and is company's primary contact to cash grain markets, such as ethanol plants, exporters, processors, millers, feeders, ECT.
• Expand customer base through new account acquisition.
• Working knowledge of commodity trading (Futures, Basis and other marketing programs). Negotiate all aspects of a trade.
• Customer service (Phone calls & Farm visits).
• Monitor daily positions. Make bids to buy and sell commodities.
• Perform various tasks associated with daily elevator operations, grain grading, operation of scale, and settlement of accounting support.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Ag. Business or other related field.
• Problem Solving
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
• Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical - Knowledge of the market in relation to the products trends and demand.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (M.S., Word, Excel and Power point) and internet.
