Chamber Membership Means:

  • First Referral: Inquires made to the Chamber office be it new visitors or anyone in the community, it is the policy of the Chamber to always refer members FIRST.
  • Job Postings: Job openings are listed on oakesnd.com, Chamber Facebook page, special email job postings blast.
  • Oakes Bucks: Local currency purchased at the Chamber office that are only redeemable at current OakesChamber Members. Last Holiday Season (November – January 1) sold over $20,000.00 worth of Oakes Bucks
  • Chamber Weekly Email Blast: Chamber member submissions only. Members receive exclusive weekly email communications of local activities, professional development opportunities, business resources, sales, events as well as other important updates on local news. Blast goes to 240 emails weekly.
  • Exclusive Listing on our Website & Oakes App: Your business is featured as a Chamber member on the Oakesnd.com website and the new Oakes App
  • Mail Bag: A monthly delivery at a drastically reduced mailing fee to 2400 mailboxes in Oakes, Forman,Gwinner, Fullerton, Verona, Hecla, Cogswell. Flyers submitted for mailbag delivery are for Chamber members ONLY
  • Membership Phone Directory: gets delivered to 2400 mailboxes in the surrounding areas Oakes, Forman, Gwinner, Fullerton, Verona, Hecla, Cogswell FREE of charge for current members and is in every hotel room, Airbnb, and VRBO.
  • Welcome Packets: Chamber Members can submit promotional material FREE of charge to the welcome packets that are available to new residents for pick up at the Oakes Public School, Chamber office and City Hall. Chamber Businesses are welcome to grab packets for their new employees as well.
  • Chamber Decals: As you renew your membership every year, you will be given a yearly custom designed window decal stating you are a Chamber member. The decal lets customers know they can spend their Oakes Bucks in your business.
  • Visibility: As a Chamber member there will be numerous opportunities to foster good will in the community all year long with sponsorship, community/civic events, member meetings and classes and other social affairs.
  • KDDR Midweek Focus: Every Wednesday the Chamber Director and KDDR will talk about the Chamber member events, sales, and business information that is happening that week which continues to get promoted throughout the week on KDDR
  • Main Street Park: This park is the newest member benefit. As a Chamber member you can sign up to utilizet his space FREE of charge for your outdoor events. Non-Chamber members will pay a fee. Main Street Park is open to anyone that wants to enjoy the space to sit, eat, converse, read, or just be outside.

  • Retail – $140.00 Base fee, maxed at $400.00
  • Service – $115.00 Base fee, maxed $400.00
  • Home-based Business – $75.00
  • Organizations – $50.00
  • Associate – $35.00
  • Faith Organizations – FREE
